After last year’s event everyone was wondering how we could top such a remarkable and enjoyable line-up and day but this year Applecore returns to the backyard for another day in the sun with some fantastic music to boot.
Headlining will be Queensland’s 90′s royalty Screamfeeder who play very rarely and but we’ve been lucky enough to secure them for the backyard this year along with fellow Brisbanites, Gentle Ben & His Sensitive …Side, an offshoot of Six Ft Hick. Their emotional and powerful songs are perfectly suited for the backyard.
Coming from across the Tasman, The Blueness (formerly Mestar) play for the first time on our shores their addictive brand of 90′s fuzz pop.
Australian music legend Kim Salmon will play one of his renowned solo sets featuring material all through his career.
Crowd favourite from 2009 Laura Jean will be back to delight and New Estate, The Ancients, Lowtide, Matt Bailey, Frankie Alibi & The Fugitives & The Olivettes with round out the line-up.
Pre-sale tickets are available to purchase for the first time from our website www.applecorefestival.com
The backyard gate opens at midday. There will be a cheap BBQ with meat and vege options. Booze is BYO but no glass please. There will not be any alcohol sold at the event. Come prepared, sunscreen, booze, money for merch and raffle tickets etc.
That line-up again…

This February sees the return to Melbourne of Brisbane legends Screamfeeder. They’re making the trip down to the headline the Applecore Backyard Festival and stop at the Tote on Friday Feb 25 for a one-off special sideshow.
One of the most loved and important bands of the 90s, Screamfeeder gained international acclaim for a series of brilliant albums including thier classic, Kitten Licks. Consistantly putting on breathtaking live shows and always sounding fresh, this promises to be a huge night at the famous and grossly appropriate Tote.
Supports come from local pop/noise maestros Actor Slash Model, New Zealand pop wonderkids The Blueness as well as The Enclosures.
Tickets are sure to go fast and are avaliable from www.applecorefestival.com
Featuring REGURGITATOR, CUSTARD, KATE MILLER-HEIDKE, HUNGRY KIDS OF HUNGARY, SCREAMFEEDER, GENTLE BEN & HIS SENSITIVE SIDE and LITTLE SCOUT. The Hi-Fi and Mucho-Bravado are proud to present Float On… A Brisbane Flood Relief Benefit.
A very special event that will bring together some of the finest music our fair city has ever seen.
Proceeds from the show will go to the Premiers Flood Relief Appeal www.qld.gov.au/floods/donate.html a Queensland Government initiative to help fellow Queenslanders who have been struck down by the recent disaster.
Tim and Kellie
Tim will join her onstage playing selected WE ALL WANT TO songs, and if they’re in the mood they may even play the odd screamfeeder song together. Audience participation welcome, as always. Related post.
