Live at The Metro

Live at The Metro

Self – Released September 21, 2019

November 1995, Dean had just joined the band and things were taking off. We’d played Brisbane’s LIVID Festival mid-afternoon, before hopping on a plane to Sydney for this show.

We were a little tired and a little drunk.

We played songs from our then current album Fill Yourself With Music as well as a few from Burn out Your Name. We also played a couple of new songs, including Bridge Over Nothing, from the forthcoming Kitten Licks; it got played twice – for the first times ever – that day.

This is a desk recording. Audio quality: B, performance: B+.

Recorded live at The Metro in Sydney on November 25th 1995, for an Aus Music Month gig. Live sound by Jon Gardner.

Tim & Kellie in the Library, Singapore

Tim & Kellie in the Library, Singapore

Self – Released September 18, 2013

In 2002 ‘feeder fan and our great friend Daniel Sassoon organised a tour to Singapore for us.

We played 4 or 5 gigs in radically different venues. One was at an actual rock festival, one was on a football field, one in a youth centre, one in a nightclub and this one was in one of the city’s libraries, Library@Orchard.

An electric-acoustic performance by Tim and Kellie, including lots of chit-chat about books – band members were invited to talk with the audience about some of their favourite reads, in between songs. So over half the songs feature some book-talk. We also included a few of our favourite covers.

It was a fun day; you can hear the relaxed atmosphere, complete with people talking and laughing, teacups clinking, phones going off, and other background noise. Daniel recorded it via microphone straight to minidisc and we think the result is good enough to share. Enjoy!

Original blurb from the poster:

Flown in from Brisbane, Australia, indie/alternative pop-rock band Screamfeeder takes time off their Singapore tour to get acoustic at library@orchard with their recent hits as well as other songs culled from their 6 album career.

Australian radio station Triple J nominated their latest album Rocks on the Soul Album of The Week and they’ve toured extensively, headlining, playing numerous festivals as well as supporting many international acts including Sonic Youth, Pavement and Swervedriver.

See the other side of singer/guitarist Tim Steward and bass player/singer Kellie Lloyd as they talk about their music and their favourite reads right here at the Library! This programme is in support of MODES 2002.

Tim Plays Solo 2002

Tim Plays Solo 2002

Self – Released February 17, 2014

Tim played solo quite a bit in 2002.

This is a set of long-lost minidisc desk recordings of 2 gigs, at Brisbane’s iconic The Zoo on May 17th, and at The Gold Coast Trocadero (supporting Paul Kelly) on July 13th.

Featuring an unusual song selection, including a couple of Tim’s songs which have never seen the light of day, some at the time yet to be released songs and some very old Screamfeeder and Madmen tunes. Also a couple of covers, by Ryan Adams, The Replacements and The Sixths.

Sound Quality: B+ // Stereo desk mix. Performance: B+

Tim and Kellie Live at The Zoo

Tim and Kellie Live at The Zoo

Self – Released February 17, 2014

We dug up an old minidisc of a duo show we did at The Zoo in Brisbane. It was marked “15/01”. We figure it was recorded (on January 15th) in 2001. Our records of every gig don’t go back quite that far, but it fits right with all the songs we played.

K&T did a number of duo shows like this around the 2000-2002 period, after Rocks On The Soul was released.

There are some songs we never recorded, and a couple of really rare covers you’ll never hear us play again.

Enjoy this rare set!

Sound Quality: B+ // Stereo desk mix with some vocal pops
Performance: B+ // We’re human
