Last minutes..

November 28, 2011

Well we’ve been rehearsing for the gig, and it’s been pretty cool. I wish I could saay that we’ve been hard at it for months, but that’s just not the case. We’re not that kind of band. We have been practising over the last week and getting a set list together and it’s looking very diverse, and kinda long..

Some songs have been really hard to remember, it took me about an hour to even work out how to play Ice Patrol last night, (and work out the tuning it’s written in) after Dean and kellie convinced me it should be included. *But I worked it out!

It’s weird, some songs we haven’t played since about ’03, and they come back instantly, first try. Other ones take a bit more work. (like ones from ’93..)

We now have the daunting task of organising how we’re going to run the set list, and who’s gonna join us for guest appearences on various songs etc. If you’ve got a burning desire to play guitar on a song, apply, we may even let you.

We’re selling CDs at the show as well as all the shirts n stuff – big news? – but these are the last Screamfeeder CDs on earth, once they’re gone, they’re gone!

See you at the bar ~ ts.

WIN A SCREAMFEEDER FUZZ PEDAL!!

November 24, 2011

Like Distortion and Fuzz? Like Screamfeeder? Like making a damn racket? Like cool one-off stuff? Look no further.

The furthest outposts of the world are populated by mad Screamfeeder fans, eager to be part of the gang. And don’t they represent well?! Syl, our great ambassador from France whipped up this cool fuzz pedal.

Called the Bunny, it delivers truckloads of ear destroying noise to an amplifier near you. Modeled on the Way Huge Red Llama it sounds pretty damn close to a Big Muff. Etched (yes, with chemicals) with the gun from the Bunny single cover and a cute pic of us on the back, this is truly a collector’s wet dream.

We are raffling this little piece of heaven off, at $10 a ticket.

It gets better.

All proceeds will go to Tym Guitars‘ charity of the month, The Green Gecko Project, helping homeless kids in Cambodia. Tym’s a champ for running this, so get on the train.

(Our) Tim will play through this pedal at the Woodlands show and then draw the winner at the end of the night. Tickets can be purchased here, or at Tym Guitars shop, or at the gig.

Tickets are $10.00. Buy Now!
[until Thursday midday, after that buy tickets at the gig]

Calling the Shots

October 9, 2011

dec2011We’ve had a pretty good year, having been invited to play some killer shows in the country’s greatest cities, and managing to slot them in in between all our activities with our other bands! So we’re going to wrap the year up with a bang with this one.

2011 is also our 20 year anniversary as a band, so that’s reason to celebrate, and we’ll be saying farewell to our drummer Dean Shwereb who is heading to the UK to live in 2012, so this could be the last ‘feeder show for a very long time.

Joined by grunge gods Violent Soho, and Tape/Off (Flaming Lips and Archers of Loaf in a blender), we’ll be playing a set largely dictated by our facebook fans (expect to hear old songs, new songs, hits and rarities)

Remind yourself  what will always be great about Brisbane indie rock. Come celebrate! Long live the ‘feeder!
WARNING: You will leave this show drunk, sweaty and deaf.

Tickets on sale 24th October!
