So, we’re out on tour again, this time to the southern states! We haven’t been to Adelaide for a little while now, so this will actually be the album launch & single launch gigs all in one! Now there’s a reason to party. We’re doing a two-nighter at the wonderful Jade Monkey, so we’ll be playing everything off the new album, plus a whole heap of different things each night.
- Thurs 5th Feb – The Jade Monkey, Adelaide, w/ Russian Teammate and Hunting Season
- Fri 6th Feb – The Jade Monkey, Adelaide w/The Laybacks
Might be good to get there early..Then we’re blowing in and out of Melbourne again with synthpoppunksters SEKIDEN, also from Brisbane.
- Sat 7th Feb – The Central Club, Richmond, Melbourne w/ Sekiden & The Breakdowns
These will be our LAST shows in these cities before our U.S. tour in March! more news to come..
Were Mum and Dad’s efforts a little average this year? Did Santa get stuck in the chimney again? If you’re hanging out for some free presents that will keep you smiling all year round head to our label’s website http://www.rhythmacerecords.com for your chance to get a whole stack of screamfeeder stuff absolutely free!
“BUNNY”, our new single is well and truly out! request it here: http://www.triplej.abc.net.au/requests/requests/default.htm There are two demo versions of album tracks on the b side(s) – for all you screamfeeder completists. (our favourite type of fans)
Talking of completeness and tidiness and stuff, we’re gonna be releasing a singles (and more) album this year, as a lot of our singles are pretty hard to get these days. So if you don’t have all the singles (or albums) it’ll be a good chance to catch up on some homework, whilst getting all yr fave tunes on the one disc.
More gigs to come, in other places, keep checking the site for exciting news!

“Forget Jet, The Vines, even You Am I… Screamfeeder are hands down the country’s best rock band and Take You Apart is all the proof you need. For real”. Nick Coppack, TIME OFF Nov 2003 ***** Album of the Week
“Their latest is a no-fuss, boiled-to-the-bone rock record that bristles with energy and focus, leaving plenty of space for subtle melodies, simple hooks and Tim Steward’s hope-filled voice” Rolling Stone
“If ever the adage “all killer and no filler’ applied, it does with “Take You Apart’, one of the Australian albums of the year” Tsunami
“13 tunes-no filler and its ragged, infectious spirit evokes all kinds of glories: classic soul records, the early Who singles, the fire and fun of bands such as the Jam and the Replacements. Highlights are many but it’s hard to go past “I’ve Got The Knife”, one of the best tunes of the year, with its infectious melody and lyrics with just the right mixture of yearning, regret and hope.” Courier Mail
OK we’ve got 4 weird and wonderful shows coming up in the next 3 weeks.
- This Saturday 29th Nov – Indie Temple, Brisbane, plus Lancaster, Her Majesty’s Finest (Melb), Kingtide and Sugarman. It’s a benefit gig for kids in the Mater Childrens’ Hospital. It should be a great night out so come along and you’ll leave with twice the warm fuzzy feeling you normally would.
- Fri December 5th – Northern star in Newcastle. We had fun last time – let’s see if we can cram more people in there..
- Sat December 6th, HOMEBAKE – Sydney, playing 2pm on the Dome Stage.www.homebake.com.au
