March 28, 2006

LIVE we’re playing a couple of hometown gigs – ie. in the Valley – over  the next few weeks. The first is at Ric’s in the Valley Mall (how L.A does that sound?!) this Friday night! It’s gonna be fun, The Narcotics are playing too and they come highly recommended. It’s free to get in, the lagers are cheap, you can get up close n personal with us, and as always you can probably pick up a swag of top shelf merch for peanuts.

Tim plays a solo show at the Brisbane Powerhouse Spark Bar on Sunday 2nd April. It’s an afternoon thing, Kate Bradley on around 3pm, Tim on at 4.30. Tim’s solo album is completed and ready for release in may this year.

The next one is at The Rev, on April 15th – Regurgitator are playing, as are the Giants Of Science, The Hard Ons, Sekiden and shitloads of other weapons grade rock bands.

So, to sum up:

  • Friday 31st March, Ric’s. free entry
  • Sunday 2nd April, Spark Bar, Tim solo show, free
  • Sat 15th April, The Rev, (not free, but massive)

DICKIN AROUND It mighta taken us a while to catch on – we don’t get out much – but we are all officially myspace crazy. check it:

Now you can “be our friends” in the true sense of the word – ie chew up our bandwidth with photos you took in the bathroom mirror. Bring it on! Come on, friend us up! It’s a great time waster too, if you didn’t know. We’ve also made it that you can request songs n stuff, it’s excellent.

DEAN Never one to fail us, Dean has found a new hobby. It is adding comments to inflight magazines. His last one was in the Virgin mag, there was a pic of a giraffe. He wrote in something like (in a speech bubble) “Get me a longneck. I’ll give you ‘get me a longneck in a minute asshole”. It was hilarious, perhaps you had to be there. Anyway, if you happen across one of his gems, please let us know! We’ll send you a free t shirt or summin.

NEW We went to practice the other night and started writing some new music, at last. It’s gonna be interesting, we’ll keep you posted.

see you at the ice rink.

We’re off to Victoria for the weekend!

January 18, 2006

Friday 20th Jan – PONY, with Little Athletics, Teen God and Children Collide. This show will be a corker – get in early, Pony’s small. Oh that’s right you were there last weekend dancing to Adam and the Ants on your millionth lager for the evening. No, seriously though, it will be “intimate” and fun.

Saturday 21st Jan – Green Room – 3rd Birthday bash featuring about 10 or 11 other bands, including all star bands of your fave Melbourne rock celebrities (Nick Cave? perhaps not). it will be sold out so get in early, we play at 11.45pm. We’re staying just upstairs, so if you offer us a drink we might even just say YES.

And, we’re in the running for the hottest 100 Let’s dream for a minute that a world exists where only 99 songs with acoustic guitars, mournful earnest semi political vocals and perhaps even djembe or – god forbid – didjeridoo were released in one calendar year (HA!) – there would be one place left in JJJ’s hottest 100 for a ROCK song.

Know what I’m saying? click her, NOW: http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/hottest100/vote/default.htm and vote for “all the other times” ..or for that matter anything else you can find in there which doesn’t fall into the “solo artist” category. please. a world with some rock in it? a dream..? #100 would suit us fine. Act now!!

see you >>> at le bar.

SCREAMFEEDER, planes, trains and automobiles

October 31, 2005

TRAVEL

Well we’ve all done a bit of John Candy and Steve Martin-ing the last month or so, travelling to japan and back, annoying each other with anything we can find, too much luggage, immigration hassles, language barriers, catching a lot of planes, and trains, and indeed automobiles, and perhaps even being confused about pillows.. but don’t worry, we’re home now and everything is ok.

GOODIES

Now, check the site for: Our BLUE video, in all its glory!! [“Blue” is the song title, just to clarify..]
and our JAPAN Photos!! they’re lots of fun! http://www.screamfeeder.com

LIVE!

We are heading out on tour soon! see dates below, but this weekend we are playing a special indie rock bonanza show in Brisbane, at The Rev:

  • Friday November 4th, The Rev, Brisbane, with Sounds Like Sunset, The Mean Streaks and The Narcotics.

Sounds Like Sunset are some kind of sonic firestorm. The have a new CD out and you DON’T want to miss them. The Mean streaks and Narcotics are two of the best things out of Brisbane at the moment, so come and worship them before they get too big for you to afford.

HEADING SOUTH

Here’s what else we’re doing, so if you live in these far flung burbs, fkn be there! We’re no strangers to Adelaide, in fact it’s our spiritual home, but Tassie, we haven’t been there for a long time.

  • Thursday 17th November – James Hotel, Launceston w/ Fell To Erin
  • Friday 18th November – Republic Bar, Hobart w/ Fell To Erin
  • Saturday 19th Nov – Lewisham Tavern, Lewisham (Tas) w/Fell To Erin
  • Saturday 26th November – Jade Monkey, Adelaide w/Mirrorline & Loemax

Lots to do, so let’s get to work.
