How sweet is this: in preparation of our imminent Singapore jaunt, MTVAsia are now playing the feeder on the telly!

And it gets better, they’re running three new videos over there today (monday 10th) and getting audience to get online and vote for their fave, which will be added to their regular daytime playlist. Our STOPLESS video is one of the three.

We’ve now been chosen to headline the Asian Youth Music Festival in the middle of Singapore on sat 29th June, which features bands from all over Australasia. A whole lot more news on the trip very soon.

Onto local stuff, we’re playing 2 shows next week in Brisbane, both with Sarah Dougher from America. First up at the Zoo on Thursday night, our first local full band show in a while, then on Saturday night at Ric’s, the Tim n Kel show – we’ll do our usual eclectic (read: “all over the damn place”) set of covers, feeder hits and rarities. Kel on the keys, me on the guitar.

Thanks to everyone who came and either smiled at us or yelled “Satan!” at us on the weekend in NSW – we love both those responses, so cheers!

Dean got his license yesterday, first attempt, we’re all feeling very proud of him, so he’s gonna be driving the whole way tomorrow while the rest of us put our feet up in the back and throw peanuts at him, “blindfold” him with our hands and shout loud conflicting driving “tips” at him – it’s gonna be fun.

But our BIG news is that we’re OUTTA HERE. No, we ain’t breaking up just yet – we’re off on tour overseas – to Singapore! Screamfeeder take Asia – I like the sound of that. We set sail (on the plane) on June 25th and return two weeks later having “Conquered the East” – oof, so many quotations this week! we’re doing a few different gigs – check the site for more details. www.screamfeeder.com

Imagine that, it’s be a very interesting episode, for about 5 minutes maybe, before it disintegrated into conversations about hairstyles (Dean finally succumbed to the scissors this week) and stupid imaginary situations.. good thing it’s not true, like our train wreck story. jeesh, some people were really offended by that too, really!

We’ve also gotten ourselves a new practice room, finally, sharing with Brisbane alt-country rock legends HALFWAY, and “prog rock” (that’s their description, not mine) – band Whipsnade Zoo, (featuring Liam from Ashgrove Woollies on distorted guitar). Nice, all very nice. And to celebrate we wrote two new songs in our first week. Now that’s so good it’s a crime.

*If you live in Brisbane and you’re after something cheap and nasty to do on Saturday night (tomorrow) why not pop down to South Leagues Club in West End to see Tim’s solo show? There’ll be a couple of other people playing, a DJ (taking requests), food, lager, pool tables, and it’s all FREE! starts 8pm

*Then next Thursday the 17th, Tim’s on again, at The Zoo, with future major label superstars Shutterspeed
