Screamfeeder in horror train wreck

May 4, 2002

Now there’s a complete lie to grab your attention! Don’t worry, we’re all safe and sound, although thinking about it, the term “train wreck” could easily be applicable to many of our misadventures over the years..

Anyway anyway, we really are gonna be coming out on tour around June. I don’t know any details, but couldn’t resist blurting it out. I can’t keep a secret if my life depends on it. We’ve missed playing for you all around the country, it’s been too long!

Finally, thanks to our clever friend Richard in Melbourne, our online order form is working again, so you can sneak yr parents’ credit card numbers, get onto the site and order t shirts and cds to your heart’s content! *when they receive the credit card statement and hit the roof, tell them “hey, it’s screamfeeder stuff, all quality merchandise, and besides, Tim said to do it”. they’ll understand.

To celebrate our return to online commerce we’re offering 2 T SHIRTS for $30 – but only for a week, jeesh, we all gotta eat y’know. We’ve still got two beautiful designs, the “rocks on the soul” art print, and the black and white pic of a contingent of the ‘feeder army getting off the plane. Check em out: http://www.screamfeeder.com

Are you a lover of fine music (you obviously are, ha!) – but seriously, if your dream is to get hold of great punk/indie releases on vinyl or cd at a great price, look no further than here: http://www22.brinkster.com/apito/it truly rocks.

Much more news coming very soon.

  • Kellie – cigger burns
  • Dean – montgomery burns
  • Darek – burn outs

Screamfeeder, hello there ladies and gentlemen

March 25, 2002

Well a lot of new people signed up recently, thanks y’all! I’ve been wondering what to write in this mailout, hence the delay, as we’re up to so much, but it’s so scattered and all over the place. What can i say? – we’re just that kind of band!

We did some recording recently, you can read about it on the site, we’ve been demoing new songs, and as usual we’ve philosophising endlessly about the band, its place in our lives and in the world (oof!).

* Tim’s doing an solo show at QUT in Brisbane on the evening of Thursday 28th (this week). It’s free, and local band Wipsnade Zoo will be playing too. The night before Good Friday – should be a fairly decent excuse for a couple of lagers and some tip top entertainment!

* Tim and Kel are doing the “duet” thing again at Ric’s in the Brisbane Valley mall on Sunday – yes, Easter Sunday. Expect a few intimate blissed out ‘feeder tunes, a couple of covers and plenty more musical treats, (shit, we might even throw in a Rancid cover, after listening to the Rancid / NoFx split album all day..) Fluent JB will DJ between our sets, there’s a well stocked bar, and we’ll even give out some free easter eggs. Sounds too good to be true huh?

It’s free, and starts around 4pm. Last time we played there we both tripped over leads all day and Kel’s mic stand swung round and smacked her in the face a couple of times. It was lots of fun.

Welcome to the feeder mailout everyone, hope you’re having fun already..

  • Tim – fish fingers, beans and chips
  • Kellie – has a new car, and it’s older than she is
  • Dean – can stumble out of bed at 7.58 and catch the 8.00 bus
  • Darek – is now an “I.T. Officer” – some respect please!

Screamfeeder – back to school

February 19, 2002

It’s that time again, a time that most of the population know nothing about, but uni students know ALL about it – Orientation Week. A week where all the students go along to uni but don’t actually learn anything, instead they get really smashed and try to “orientate” themselves.. go figure.

Anyway we’re gonna help them in their pursuit of reckless abandon by supplying the soundtrack to their obliteration. And we’re doing it twice!

  • This Friday 22/2 at QUT Gardens Point (Brisbane) we’ll be headlining an ALL AGES event, at 9.00 pm. There are a few other bands on too. I know we’re always slack in the all ages dept, so here’s your chance kids. Anyone can come, you don’t have top be a uni student.
  • Next Wednesday 27/2 at UQ St Lucia (Brisbane) at Lunchtime. 12.00 It’s free, and all ages are welcome, again.

We’ll have T Shirts and CDs for sale at both the shows too, so bring all your cash!

In other news, we’re going to record a new single soon, because it’s been a while. And for all the latest in online gambling, porn, gossip, controversy, stolen credit card numbers, and funny little games where you put a frog in a blender…. check our site: www.screamfeeder.com

  • Tim – Colonel Mustard
  • Kellie – Miss Scarlet
  • Dean – Professor Plum
  • Darek – Reverend Green

Alex Lloyd

January 31, 2002

Greetings from all at camp feeder, we’ve been very busy lately writing new songs and planning our future like the responsible young adults we are. check the site for more info! www.screamfeeder.com

We’ve also been having healthy debates about which is worse: John Howard getting back in, or Alex Lloyd getting No.1 on the JJJ hottest 100. They’re both pretty scary concepts; both enough, in fact, to prompt kellie Lloyd towards thoughts of “leaving the country”!

On a brighter note, I’ve got my first very own big headlining solo show at Ric’s Bar (Brisbane) next Tuesday the 5th of Feb. The whole thing starts at 9.00 – then Dave and Bryce from Denvar will open proceedings at 9.30. I’ll be playing a bunch of my stuff, a bit of ‘feeder stuff, and a whole lot of other songs as well – acoustic, electric, the whole lot. 2 sets. I’ve got a feeling they’ll even let me play whatever I like between sets too – so you’re in for a fine night of music all round. It’s free to get in, and what a way to end a romantic night with your loved one?! Oof,

Talk about scoring points..! (home by midnight too – you can’t go wrong).

Danielle and Simon spotted the Smiths reference last time round in about 1 second – good work.

  • Tim – quack quack
  • Kellie – woman driving man sleeping
  • Dean – afro eurodisco trash
  • Darek – cool operator
