As promised, a whole lotta rock went down on the weekend with us and Not From There doing our stuff in Byron Bay, the Gold Coast and Brisbane. Cheers to everyone who came, it was a GAS.

Cheers to the Rose n Crown down the coast too, maybe not the best venue on planet earth, but they did supply us with over 3 LITRES of spirits to play with, plus quite a few plates of snacks. Actually, you know, they ARE the best venue on earth..

This week we’re doing the acoustic gig thing here in Brisbane (Tim did an acoustic show with Klinger in melbourne recently) – nice n easy, no lugging to speak of, a couple of wines, you know the script:

  • Wed 25th Transcontinental Hotel, Sth Bris, on first at 8.30 (just Tim) + some bands, free entry, unlimited drinks.
  • Sat 28th at Rics, in the Valley, Kellie and Tim doing solo sets starting around 4.00 pm. Free cake, ciggers and drinks at the bar.

Kellie’s still got her Bass Amp for sale, it’s a Labsystems head and quad. It kicks some large quantities of ass, and it’s on sale cheap. get back to us quick.. you don’t wanna miss this one.

We’re coming to sydney in a week and a half, doing a gig at a nightclub somewhere, I think it’s in the Cross (nice).

The plan is to get Lo-Tel down, get ’em dressed up as easter bunnies, and have them bouncing all over the stage.. they’re right down with it, just gotta find the costumes.. ooh la la!

screamfeeder, in da clubs

Rub a dub dub!! This weekend we’re doing a special one off gig at Club 77 at 77 William St in Sydney (Kinda near the city on the way to Kings Cross). It’s an “indie club”, a pretty popular place apparently and they’ve decided to start having bands on.

I think their original choice might have been Lo-Tel, but then they decided they’d better do it properly and they got the ‘Feeder involved! We’ll even be doing the show in “old school” (’77 – get it?) mode, as a three piece!!

So if you wanna be seen in the most fashionable spot in town, put on your favourite duds and best jumper and get along there on Saturday night. This Saturday, the 5th that is! It’ll do wonders for your social standing, that’s a personal guarantee from us. I have a feeling (ooohhh, very psychic today) that there’ll be a “respectable” amount of liquor going down too, so we’ll undoubtedly .. see you at the bar!

* If you fancy your luck getting in for free, just waltz in like you own the joint, tell them you’re on the doorlist. This isn’t a guarantee in any way, it’s a risk you take. I didn’t even say it, in fact.

All this blather for one gig?  ..whoops.

Our latest online interview is here, at ROCKUS magazine: http://members.iinet.net.au/~sedward/rockus/focus.htm

We’re playing this weekend in Sydney, in case you didn’t realise, at BLEACH/Club 77 (same place dude) in William St. Saturday night. It’s gonna rock (there’s that word again) – it’s gonna be very exciting …and even damn fashionable too – and would we ever lead you up the garden path with something so important as fashion?! I mean, REALLY!!

Make up yr own story about Lo-Tel today..! Send them to us if they’re any good… we need fresh fuel.

Trail mix

May 8, 2001

Back on the MP3 trail, at last. Ok as well as having quite a few songs from the album up at the aussie stronghold mp3.com.au, www.mp3.com.au/screamfeeder, we’ve also just added, today, “If You Lived Here” – track 9 from the album, to our page at: www.mp3.com/screamfeeder, so don’t waste any more time, go get it!! (if it’s not there yet, they’re still “approving” it, try tomorrow..!)

Back on the Lo-Tel trail too – Jeesh – that request of mine last week sure opened a can of worms (as they say). A deluge of gossip most foul landed on my screen. I’m not one to get nasty, so I’ll keep to my usual witty quips about that lovely band, for now anyway.

Had a good show at club 77 on the weekend – sydney people, get down there I say, what good tunes they play. The Ramones, ..lots of old school punk stuff actually, lotsa new stuff too. Very Nice. Met Denvar down the pub later – what a fine bunch of gents – got all teary for “good ol’ brissy” together – lucky we were flying back a few hours later.

Up ‘n’ Coming: a tour with The Fauves is on the cards for June. My prediction is that it’s be fairly LARGE, and we’ll be schlepping all over the damn place too, – except Coffs Harbour of course!

We made tentative plans with each other last week to go to the practice room and write some new songs soon. Dean was well up for it (he doesn’t have to do any actual writing, just hit some stuff – easy peasy), Kel was rather more hesitant.. but we’ll give it a bash. I mean, what’s the worst that can happen right?!
